San Bernadino NF, CA
Let me start off by saying this post isn't going to be one of the most detailed posts. We were invited to take a daytrip off-roading in San Bernadino at a particular location a friend had in mind. Neither of us had ever been there, so we didn't know what to expect. We started off our morning with a little breakfast & headed out around 10AM.
We only packed ourselves coffee and Cheez-itz (because it helps me with motion sickness). Once we got to our initial location, there were a lot of confusion with the roads & the exact location we were aiming for. At one point, we happened to stop right in front of what seemed to be the longest and slowest train. As we continue to look for our specific spot, we stopped a few times to figure out our route. We ended up wingin' it and let the universe lead the way...
And I'm so glad that we did. The roads lead us to one of the most beautiful and unexpected views I haven't seen in awhile. We were basically looking at all 4 seasons we get throughout California! As we admired the views at 4,545 feet elevation in windy 41 degrees weather, the guys noticed a little area where they were able to test out the cars.
I was having trouble trying to use my drone. I finally figured out what happened - batteries were dead, lol. After we absorbed what nature offered us, we headed back down the mountain. We made a little stop and chatted for a bit before heading our seperate ways. This was definitely a great way for me to end 2018.
Here's to 2019! May it be filled with more love, adventures, acheivements and less excuses.
